GREENOVATIONS AFRICA Greenovations aims to set up a framework that brings together actors and stakeholders of the green innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem in Africa to identify and ideate solutions, organize, and support innovators and entrepreneurs, with a focus on women and youth. The project seeks to galvanize women and youth-led green entrepreneurship in Africa by providing the necessary support for business sustainability and growth, brokering relations between women and youth green innovators and potential investors, and by helping to set up conducive business environments and regulatory frameworks through actionable policy recommendations. YouthADAPT Solutions Challenge
YouthADAPT Solutions Challenge The Youth Adaptation Solutions Challenge (YouthADAPT Challenge) is an annual competition and awards program for youth-led enterprises (50% women-led) jointly organised by the Global Center on Adaptation (GCA), the African Development Bank (AfDB) and Climate Investment Funds (CIF) as part of the Africa Adaptation Acceleration Program YouthADAPT Flagship Program. This challenge seeks to boost sustainable job creation through support for entrepreneurship and youth-led innovation in climate change adaptation and resilience across Africa. The competition invites young entrepreneurs and Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) in Africa to submit innovative solutions and business ideas that can drive climate change adaptation and resilience across Africa. Winners will receive grant funding, capacity-building training, and mentorship to support their climate change adaptation innovation across their community and Africa 20 innovators will emerge as winners at an award show and will have access to post-award support in the forms of Features Impact/Expected Outcomes Website

Open source Nexus modelling tools for Planning Sustainable Energy Transition in Africa ONEPlanET ONEPlanET project aims at empowering African policymakers, research & academia, investors and citizens with the necessary tools and know-how to increase clean energy generation and sustainable use of resources while reducing inequalities and cultural/socio-economic gaps. LEAP-RE Programme
LEAP-RE Programme LEAP-RE programme seeks to create a long-term partnership of African and European stakeholders in a quadruple helix approach: government (programme owners and funding agencies), research and academia, private sector, and civil society. The impact will be sought by creating a framework, methodology, and cooperation model. The aim is to reduce fragmentation by aligning existing bilateral and multilateral frameworks. LEAP-RE will establish and jointly implement research, innovation, and capacity-building activities in the renewable energy sector. Features Impact/Expected Outcome Mobilisation: Mobilise the relevant African Union (AU) & European Union (EU) knowledge communities and other stakeholders to address key renewable energy challenges for AU-EU. New Knowledge: Contribute to the production of new knowledge, innovations, technology, products, and/or services in renewable energy topics of strategic relevance to AU-EU collaboration. Transition to Renewable Energy: Accelerate the inclusive transition to reliable and affordable renewable energy.
