INTRODUCTION
AfriLabs Background
AfriLabs is a network organization supporting over 500 technology and innovation hubs across 53 African countries. We support the growth of technology hubs and their community to raise high potential entrepreneurs that will stimulate economic growth and social development in Africa. We do this by providing capacity building resources, financing, mentoring and networking opportunities to our network members.
The RevUp Women Initiative (The Project)
RevUp Women is an enterprise development programme for early-stage women-led businesses in Africa, designed to accelerate women-led businesses into profitable & sustainable ventures that can stimulate the creation of jobs on the continent. The programme is aimed at fostering gender equality and inclusive economic growth through enterprise development training, mentorship, peer-to-peer learning and providing access to finance.
Through a pan-African call for application and based on set criteria, AfriLabs will screen and select implementing hubs in 54 countries across Africa. AfriLabs will work with the chosen hubs who will in turn support the selection and building of the capacity of a total of 50,000 women-led businesses in Africa to go through an Enterprise Development Programme. Other activities to be carried out as part of the pre-programme include; Curriculum design and content curation for the incubation of the business
AfriLabs is seeking to contract a video production and editing consultant with proven expertise and practical experience in creating and editing videos for development-focused projects. The consultant will be responsible for curating and producing impact-driven project videos that effectively showcase the outcomes and successes of the RevUp Women Initiative training done in Lagos, Nigeria.
The Objective and Scope of the Services
The primary objective of this service is to engage a video production expert to curate a compelling impact video that highlights the outcomes of the initiative on the beneficiary in Lagos, Nigeria.
Scope of Work
The consultant will be responsible for:
Filming on-site interviews and footage at the beneficiary’s factory in Lagos, capturing her experience and the impact of the initiative on her business.
Recording key visuals and interviews at the hub where the training was conducted in Lagos to provide context and showcase the program’s implementation.
Editing and curating a final impact video that effectively tells the story of the initiative, with a total runtime of 3 to 5 minutes.
Outcome:
A high-quality impact video that effectively showcases the project’s transformative effect on the beneficiary, delivering a compelling and engaging narrative.
Deliverables
The recorded sessions with the project beneficiary and hub team on Wednesday, 12th March 2025
First draft of impact videos on or before COB Wednesday, 19th March 2025
Final impact video on or before COB Friday 21st March 2025
Key Requirement and skills:
Proven experience in videography, with strong portfolio
Relevant experience in curating impact videos for projects in the development space
Creativity and compelling visual storytelling skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Reliable and able to work independently or part of a team.
Excellent attention to detail.
Flexibility to adapt to dynamic event environments.
Ability to deliver high-quality, engaging visual content under tight deadlines.
Experience in editing and post-production using industry-standard tools.
Must be located in Lagos, Nigeria

Evaluation And Selection Criteria:

Price Reasonableness (Pass or Fail)
Past work done (Pass or Fail)
Duration and Remuneration:
Preferred Start Date: 12th March 2025 (work will be done for 2 weeks)
Remuneration: N800,00.00 – N1,000,000.00 Net Pay (For the duration of the contract period)
