Nanko Madu is a Senior Programs Manager at AfriLabs. Madu has over 8 years of experience in economic development, entrepreneurship, and public health. Nanko Leads AfriLab’s capacity building program targeted at strengthening the capabilities of tech hubs within the Pan Africa Ecosystem. She has a professional track record in the deployment of capacity building and improvement strategies targeted at professionals and particularly SMEs, and a wealth of experience in the design and implementation of high-profile interventions that improve organizational effectiveness. Before Joining AfriLabs, Nanko worked as a consultant for the World Bank on one of its projects; Youth Enterprise With Innovation In Nigeria (YouWiN!), where she led the design and implementation of a large-scale training program for over 40,000 SMEs. She was part of the team that designed and implemented a 12Billion Naira grant targeted at 1,500 innovative ideas conceptualized by young entrepreneurs. Most recently, she worked with Solina Centre for International Development and Research (SCIDaR) where she led the design and implementation of a monitoring program that targeted 1140 survey teams across 37 states in Nigeria under CDC’s Nigeria AIDs Indicator & Impact Survey (NAIIS). She also served as Board Secretary for the organization. Nanko currently sits as a board member of 2 non-for-profit organizations; Bosita Made and A Prayer Away International Ministry. Nanko holds a certificate in Cluster and Project Management from the Lagos Business School, Nigeria and a BSC in Architecture from the prestigious University of Jos, Nigeria
