Farida A. B. Umar is the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer of AfriLabs Secretariat. She is responsible for ensuring high quality, timely outputs and ensuring AfriLabs projects maintain their strategic vision, working hand in hand with other team members. Her role in the organization includes conducting capacity building assessments, providing inputs, information management and statistics, supporting monitoring and evaluation of the effects and impact of projects. Farida is a dedicated and hardworking person who always draws inferences from prevailing situations after relating it to the future and the past. She also has a passion for learning. Coming from an administrative background, she has almost 16 years of experience with donor organizations. She has been part of field work engagements (both rural and urban), research and community mobilization. Farida holds a Higher National Diploma on Business Administration at Kano State Polytechnic, School of Management Studies, Kano; Certificate as a Social and Behavioral Investigator from Center for Bioethics and Research, Nigeria and University of Florida.
